I know a few, depends what area you looking to fish..
Mark Kulik does Muskoka, Simcoe & the Kawartha's
Taro from Fishcity does Toronto harbor, lake ontario and the Kawarthas
Paul Castellano is the Erie and Niagara Man i was told..

if you plan on being a guide, it's hard work if you're doing your job right!

Cheers & Good luck with it.. hopefully we'll have you listed as an official guide someday

It is hard work, people are paying to catch fish... Makes a long hard day if no one has caught a fish all day... Knowing all local lakes is key and all seasonal patterns and fish movement. You will learn that with time on the water.
Costs.... I get guides $500/ day from my clients....
Some guides are cheaper but same as any other service business, not good to undercut. Expect to see $250 for 4 hrs and $400 for 8 hrs.
Having all gear and tackle is a must, a safe running boat and courses in cpr/ first aid and their is a guide licence I beleive.
Also, there are many established guides and well known anglers in Muskoka, tough market but as soon as I get another boat I'll be guiding to as I get asked often... The right marketing and promotions you can create new business.

I'm pretty solid on the seasonal movements of fish of most species but I only move up here last may (cottaged up her since I was little) Getting to know some good spots too. I know soem guys who guide up here as well and they don't even advertise it and they keep super busy with it... hopefully I can keep busy with some tournaments as well. I got angler of the year for Muskoka Bassmasters 2009 (as a non-boater I got more points than the boater division!!) I'm hope that helps for my angling resume a bit but in the end p[eople jusrt wanna catch some decent fish or at least feel like they have learned something right?

You're in the right steps, watch how Garrett, Rochette & Wes handle situations on the water. Garrett and Rochette are two of the smartest anglers you will ever meet. Reason they almost always finish in the money on the Canadian side or down in the U.S. Wes is one of the best natural anglers you will meet, he is not techniqual but just a natural and put many fish in the boat... of any species.
Non-boater of year is nice but not great credentials to landing more clients... BASS Clubs is not huge, once you start competing in big circuits and winning, then you have some leverage. There certainly is a market in Muskoka for guides.
